The measurement for the belt is taken from the buckle end (not including the buckle) to the 3rd of the 5 holes, give or take a half inch, so a 42" belt would be 42" to that 3rd hole. That way you can gain or lose a little weight and the belt will still fit.

This belt is hand tooled using top grade vegetable tanned cowhide.The belt is 1-1/2" wide, hand dyed and stained the color of your choice. It has been finished using a multi- step process to insure many years of service. The back of the belt has also been finished for added protection and the edges have been hand rubbed to a smooth finish so your belt will not wear the belt loops on your pants. Colors may vary slightly due to the natural properties the leather. Buckles attach with snaps for easy removal or changing.

HOW TO MEASURE A BELT:
The best way is to measure around where you wear the belt.

Alternatively, you may measure at the fold, or where the buckle meets the leather, to the hole that you currently use.

That is the size belt you need to order.

If it is an odd number, round up to the next even number.

The rest of the belt is not considered for measurement purposes. "do not include the buckle length in your measurement".
